LESSONS
All students will receive lessons which build upon each other to form a growing knowledge of guitar and of music. Students can adjust their needs as we continue to work together.
All sessions cost $50/hour, in-person or on zoom.
GETTING STARTED
If you are a total beginner to guitar, you will learn how to use the fretboard, how to strum and pluck, and how to play simple melodies. All beginners, children and adults, should start here.
Reading Guitar Tabs and Chord Charts
Reading tablature and chord charts is a handy way to learn new songs. We will cover how to read and play guitar tabs and chord charts.
GUITAR CHORDS AND SCALES
More experienced players will learn scales and chords ranging from simple to advanced. Students will then learn to play songs and improvise using the chords and scales they learn.
ESSENTIAL GUITAR MUSIC THEORY TOOLKIT
Students will learn to crack the mysterious code of musical interconnection. You will learn about major and minor keys, modes, scale positions, and harmonies. You will also learn to compose your own music and lyrics using knowledge of music theory, chords, and scales.
